Delaware-based fashion designer and entrepreneur Dell Scott, founder and CEO of Dell Scott Enterprises, showcased her latest collection “Emerge” at a recent runway event during New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2023. Scott is a designer who wants to inspire women to embrace their inner brilliance, and her work is making waves in the industry.

The “Emerge” runway show featured several stunning looks, including a black satin pearl trim petal gown worn by supermodel Debbie Dickinson. It was elegant and sophisticated, with a plunging neckline that added a touch of drama. A shorter version of the dress with a rounded neckline was also on display, perfect for a less formal occasion. A black satin fringe piece, also adorned with pearls, had a bit of a playful vibe, while supermodel Mimi Tao showcased a floor-length satin mermaid gown. The most iconic look of the collection was a dramatic gown featuring a tutu with mesh wrap and an overskirt, decorated with pearl details along the shoulders.

Scott’s runway collection showcased a variety of pieces characterized by the use of pearls, metallics, and mesh, with blue satin adding a pop of color. The collection featured a range of garments, including evening-length dresses, two-piece sets, and structured mini dresses, each with unique features that added depth and texture to the overall collection. The use of pearls added a unique touch to many of the pieces, while metallics and mesh added a sense of glamour and sophistication to the overall look.

The blue satin pieces provided a bold and striking contrast to the rest of the collection, tying the pieces together and providing a cohesive look throughout. Overall, Scott’s collection was a visually stunning display of fashion-forward designs, with the use of various textures, embellishments, and colors providing a dynamic and unique collection that is sure to turn heads on the runway and in real life.

Scott’s designs have won her numerous awards, including Best Accessories Designer at DFW in 2015 and the Top 21 Over 21 by Gladys Magazine in 2020 and have been published in many magazines and seen on runways across the US, from New York to LA. Her commitment to empowering women and giving back to her community has allowed her to mentor young people in the educational system of her home state, and to partner with organizations like Go Red For Women and the Miss DE Scholarship Pageant, making her a designer worth watching in the world of fashion.
