In Fall & Winter Trends, Trend Reports by Hazel Marie

We recently spoke with The Riviere Agency about their trip to Paris, France for Paris Fashion Week 2018. February brings Fashion Month trends to the fashion industry with showcased designs from Paris Week designers, including Rudy WolffAlleira BatikSlashed by Tia and more. The Riviere Agency observed the Paris Fashion Week trends for the Fall and Winter seasons of this year. Here are just a few of the most iconic trends they spotted at Paris Fashion Week this year:

Tribal and Indigenous Prints

Starting with a beautiful collection of tribal and indigenous prints, The Riviere Agency noted the cultural diversity and international influence of these prints. This has been displayed through the use of fun embroidery and attention to textile and print detail. The models rocked the runway with these international-style designs.

It is also noted that sheer fabrics made many appearances at this season’s Paris Fashion Week. Giving off a sexy and lustful feeling, the designers of this year gave us stunning moments in fashion with their sheer fabric designs.

Seafoam blues and greens are the colors to keep an eye on during this year’s Fall and Winter seasons, as demonstrated by the above collection. This Paris Fashion Week trend is one noted as “the colors to watch” by The Riviere Agency.

Ruffles

Ruffles have clearly taken Paris Fashion Week by storm, proving they can beautifully accent and compliment a design. They were seen this year in a variety of forms, showing us their potential to make sexy, fun, elegant and classic looks.

Red Fabrics

The Riviere Agency noted how popular red hot fabrics are during the Fall and Winter seasons. Red is always a Fall favorite, and the color has certainly made a comeback during this year’s Paris Fashion Week. It has been incorporated into a variety of styles and textures this season.

Feathers, Fringe and Tassles

Designs this year with feathers, fringe and tassels added movement and motion to several Fashion Week looks. These looks were apparent showstoppers on the runway in Paris, with their beautiful and elegant feel.

This year, crop tops came out to play as they were paired with skirts, pants patterns and flowy bottoms. These pieces accent the crop tops perfectly.

Copper and Gold

Another set of Fall and Winter colors this year are copper and gold metallics. These colors are eye catching and have just the right amount of shine. When worn in the light, they have such a beautiful sheen and glow, as shown during this season’s Paris Fashion Week.

Capes

Capes are noted by The Riviere Agency as “the silhouette of the season” shown this year in both traditional and unique ways. Some designers even displayed atypical styles with their cape designs. This is a trend to watch out for in the Fall and Winter seasons.

Beads and Sequins

That pop that you wanted during the Fall and Winter seasons was presented at Paris Fashion Week through the use of beads and sequins. This trend is the glam-fashionista’s best friend this season.

These trends seem to be getting a lot of attention this year, and are the most noteworthy ones to keep an eye on. The Riviere Agency has given us some ideal insight on the most notable ones to follow during the Fall and Winter seasons in 2018.
